Biodiesel: How It Works




The production of biodiesel is relatively straight forward, however there can be a significant degree of differences in the feedstocks and chemicals used and the steps in the production process. The flow chart below shows the steps most commonly used on a commercial scale, with the caveat that it is not all-inclusive to what some firms now do.
