The biodiesel market in Australia is in the early stages of development, as there are no refineries with a capacity of 50MGY. Coupled with the lack of investment in infrastucture and plantings (it does not have the same potential for palm or jatropha as SE Asia) it does not appear this will be a significant production area in the near future. The largest plant in Australia is the 42MGY plant in Caboolture, Queensland owned by
Australian Biodiesel Group.
